In January I visited Christine in Davis and went with her to the Mercer clinic, which caters to the homeless who own pets. It was great to see a lot of vet students helping out people who live on the streets but still try to take care of their pets. Honestly when you look at a homeless dog, it’s no less cute than a dog with a home. Maybe similarly we should try not to look down on the homeless.

Some of my photos have been used in the Mercer facebook page…which is pretty sweet. I did capture a really cute dog.

Faces of New York

March 7, 2011

I took this from the safety of the top level of a Megabus, behind tinted windows where my subjects would never know I was taking their picture. Despite being kind of creepy, this is the only way I could take photos of people being real. It is easier this way to see a person really smile, or capture them rushing forward to some destination, or to see someone just sitting there deep in thought.
